Hope Infertility Center was set up in the year 1990 by a leading embryologist along with a well-known doctor specialized in assisted conception and regarded as the pioneer in in-vitro fertilization. This was also the first medical institution to receive Venture Capital funding from TDICI (now ICICI Ventures).
The Center was not able to attract the volumes that had been assumed while setting up the project. The VC was concerned about its operational performance and also wanted to develop marketing plans to achieve targets.
