Swami Satchidananda, Member of Parliament, is the Chief Trustee of the Vishnudham Ashram Trust which owned 12 acres of Land on the Delhi Mathura Highway (80 km from Delhi) on which they wanted to establish a Cancer Hospital in the memory of their patron saint, Shri Tapasviji Maharaj.

In addition to State-of-the-Art facilities for Cancer Treatment, the campus was also intended to accommodate other systems of Medicine like Homeopathy, and Ayurveda. Based on a detailed survey of the region, a case was established for the setting up of a 100 Bed Cancer Hospital.

A presentation was made to the then Prime Minister and President of the India because the design of the hospital has the potential to become the become the prototype for rural hospitals across the country
